Cool new toys!

There have been some very tasty new bits of merchandise appearing on our site and newsletter recently. I thought since BBC digital is currently repeating the classic Avengers episodes every week (barking mad half of the stories, but still wonderful) it seemed an appropriate time to point out that the Series 2 figures from the Avengers, with Steed and the delectable Mrs Peel have just arrived in our warehouse - they even speak lines of dialogue from the show!

On the forthcoming goodies front we finally have some good material for the new Battlestar Galactica series, which is one of my favourite shows right now (although I wish critics and some of those involved in making it would stop pretending it isn't SF or qualifying statements by saying "it is more adult drama than SF" as if SF can't do drama or adult themes). Anyway, there is a new range coming out this summer of die-cast miniatures from the new show, including the Galactica itself, a Viper, a Cylon Raider and a life-size, walking, talking Number Six... Okay, I made that last one up, but the three miniatures of the ships are due around the end of June and I think I will need to add them to the collection on my desk along with the similar die-cast miniatures of the Star Trek ships.
