More Fab, Furry Freaks

ICV2 carries further news (via Variety) on the stop-motion animated film featuring Gilbert Shelton's Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers which we reported on recently. The film is called Grass Roots (bearing the Brothers interest in 'herbs' the word Grass could just possibly have more than one meaning) and is being produced by Celluloid Dreams and X Filme, with creator Gilbert Shelton performing some of the writing duties. It is apparently not based on the old comics issue with the same title. The basic plot has our major stoners scoring some genetically modified seeds from Norbert the Narc and attempting create a perfect communal paradise. Naturally things do not go to plan...
