FPI are very proud to announce a signing event with two of the fair city of Dublin's finest, Gerry Hunt and Bren B. The boys will be meeting fans and signing copies of their brand new volume of The Streets of Dublin, a critically acclaimed volume which has been likened to Will Eisner and R Crumb. So far this has been a relatively local success story, but with this volume set to ship nationally to the UK in March we're expecting much bigger things.Pádraig ó Méalóid of Irish SF News, a major comics and graphic novel fan/reviewer (and indeed expert) praised the latest volume:

"This is by far the best looking piece of comic art to come out of Ireland so far, and is a damn fine story, too. Gerry obviously loves Dublin, and cowboy stories, and the art of Robert Crumb and Will Eisner, and out of all these he has brewed this hard-bitten tale of drug trafficking and vengeance. I'm always in awe of Gerry's work, and this is no exception. The added polish that Bren B's colours and extremely capable design skills give the project only serve to highlight what is already a gem."

The signing with Gerry and Bren will be in the Dublin branch of Forbidden Planet International, 5-6 Crampton Quay, Dublin 2 on Thursday March 16th from 5 through to 7 pm and we invite all local comics fans to come along to meet and to support some fine local talent.
