New Spider-Man movie villain revealed

Columbia pictures have revealed the super-villain Thomas Haden Church will play in the forthcoming third movie instalment of Spider-Man. Church will essay Flint Marko, also known as William Baker also known as… The Sandman!

Nothing to do with Neil Gaiman’s brooding dream lord, Marko’s Sandman gained the power to make his body behave like animated sand after (in time honoured Marvel tradition) being exposed to radiation while on the run from the police. Sandman’s powers to change and shape his body like sand make him very difficult to hurt in a fight and needless to say he is even harder to keep behind bars. Not to mention how easily he can ruin the sandwiches on a picnic…
