New Who Suit

The BBC’s wardrobe department has given us the spectacle of David Tennant modelling his new Doctor Who costume – pinstripes, trenchcoat and trainers – as filming of the new series gets underway. In even more exciting news – at least to the old fans like me – Auntie also announced that the wonderful Elisabeth Sladen will be returning to Doctor Who as Sarah Jane Smith.

Sarah, of course, was a companion to both Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker and began to give expression in the show to the growing movement in the 1970s for women’s equality. Its news set to gladden the heart of many Whovians as Liz Sladen remains one of the most popular Who actors of all time.

Talking Who, my colleagues here at FPI tell me that we now have a nice batch of goodies to go along with the new show up in our Doctor Who Section on our main site, from talking bottle openers to remote controlled (new style) Daleks!.
