Hugo Weaving, star of two of the biggest trilogies ever, Lord of the Rings and the Matrix films, has been announced as a replacement for James Purefoy on the movie adaptation of the classic V for Vendetta. Weaving will be playing the eponymous Codename V - anarchist, terrorist, freedom fighter (or all of these and none). No details have yet emerged to explain this belated thespian substitution.
