Who blundered?

An article on the BBC website today admitted that the coprporation made a blunder over the new Doctor Who, failing to consult Christopher Eccleston before responding to media enquiries last week about him leaving the show after only one season. The BBC also apologised for attributing statements wrongly to the actor and admitted that the corporation and the actor had come to an agreement over his contract back in January.

The BBC did confirm however that they are 'in talks' with David Tennant, currently on screen in the BBC's adaptation of Casanova as a replacement - although given the number of actors touted as the new Doctor before Eccleston was announced, we'd all be advised to take that with a pinch of salt.
