V for Vendetta

Comics Continuum reported that Warner Brothers held a large press conference to mark the commencement of film work on V for Vendetta. The film adaptation of one of the greatest of graphic novels (face it, it is one of the foundation stones of the genre) by one of our best writers, Alan Moore, is being directed by James McTeigue (first assistant director on the Matrix movies and Attack of the Clones) and produced by Joel Silver (the nice man who helped Warners buy the film option rights to Richard Morgan’s debut novel Altered Carbon) and the Wachowski brothers, who have also produced the script adaptation.

I feel the urge to re-read my V for Vendetta rising again and for all the other fans out there this is your chance to push V on your friends who say comics are immature literature. Get them to read this and then have a plate ready for the Humble Pie they will have to serve you.
