| Prepared to be excited as the excellent Chris Ware, following on from the brilliant McSweeney's Quarterly 13 (produced with Dave Eggers), brings us the delights of the ACME Novelty Library. Like McSweeney's the principal feature (not surprisingly) will be cartoon strips. However, like that earlier title it also contains a treasury of all sorts of paraphernalia: a luminescent map of the heavens, the history of the ACME Novelty Company, rare and unusual photographs, cut-out activities and more.
The book itself will be a tabloid-sized hardback, which offers a more suitable layout and space for the cartoon strips and, again like McSweeney's 13, will have an unusual wrapping; in this case an over-sized belly band.
