Its hard to imagine how dramatic the impact of this comic was back when it first appeared - and in truth the storyline does seem a little labored but the art by Brian Bolland is a thing of wonder. Bolland only does covers now (more or less) this is what he was capable of on a 12 issue series. And you dont have the huge gaps we had as readers back then whilst he finished the art.
