| Originally printed in black and white, this new colour edition of the first collection of Moore's delightful Boneyard is a perfect entry point for folk new to the series. Michael Paris, a likeable semi-loser travels to find out what property his deceased uncle has left him as an inheritance.
It turns out to be a graveyard in the small town of Raven's Hollow and it's populated by a weird and wonderful array of creatures, including talking gargoyles on the gates, Sid the cigar-smoking skeleton, Ralph the werewolf (who always wears his shades), Nessie the nymphomaniac sea monster and Abbey the enchanting vampiress who Michael clearly has a thing for (in his ham-fisted way).
The whole town lies under a (literal) permanent dark cloud and the local sheriff and mayor are even weirder than the inhabitants of the Boneyard. Hugely enjoyable fun. The lastest in the series, volume 4, is released in June 2005.
